Hard to justify driving a internal combustion car at all anymore, but I grew up in the 60s and - therefore - addicted. What I CAN do is shorten my trips and find services nearby, supporting my local community, reducing congestion and pollution. So instead of an epic journey to find specialized shops for my German coupe, I tried Honest-1 Care just up the street. They were - and can be BUSY. Like a restaurant, you might ask yourself 'Why?' before going to a place with no waiting. Yes, same principle applies. The service is good here - from techs who likely always 'loved' cars, went to mechanic school, and then worked on car - a LOT! That's worth something folks. I came in with questions, weird noises, and a thin wallet. I walked [well, drove] away with answers, no noises, and the same wallet I drove up with - and that's saying something. Yes, they acknowledged, my car had some issues - mostly due to age, miles and the 'last' brake job. But - listen carefully here - they make suggestions like it was THEIR car, not what they could soak me for... That alone is 5-stars for a mechanic in my book. Most of the issues they encouraged me to wait and do them later when they could be combined with some other things and keep the overall cost down. They scheduled a short follow-up appointment [did I mention they can get busy?] to take on a minor issue that they felt worth addressing right away. Walked away spending $0, and a very good feeling about doing more work with them in the future. Are your repairs here going to be free? No, they will not. Will you get a fair shake and 'Honest' answers? Yes, I think you will. Vroom, vroom! Until they ban Fossil Fuels, off I go!
